DIVERSITY OF MOSQUITO LARVAE IN KWARE LOCAL GOVERNMENT SOKOTO STATE OF NIGERIA

ABSTRACT
The study investigates the occurrence and abundance of mosquito larvae in Kware Local Government,Sokoto State. The mosquito larvae were collected using Simple Scoop Method and Larvae were identified to generic level using morphological features. The mosquito larvae observed belong to three genera- Aedes, Anopheles, and Culex. The Anopheles spp had the highest occurrence with 54.76% abundance followed by Culexspp with 44.38% abundance while Aedesspp has the least occurrence with 0.864% abundance.
