This paper pin point the challenges facing Muslim widows and orphans in our society today, the paper attempted a literal and technical definition on the concept of widow and orphan, discusses the unpleasant situation widows and orphan faced during Jahiliya period, period of Islam and their respective position in modern society, effort is also made to draw conclusion from the perspectives of modern trend while identifying recommendations within the context of Islam.
