Children with specific language impairment (SLI) are usually as able and healthy as other children in
many ways but with one exception, that they have enormous difficulty talking and understanding
language. In some children, the impairment may be severe and persistent difficulties in both
understanding and talking experience. In the light of the above, the present paper has examined
language as related to the brain and language impairment in children, identifying its causes along with
recommendations to help tackle the difficulty.
